*Filing Chapter 7 before payment of the fees requires you to find a guarantor for the attorney's fees. There is no credit check for the guarantor and nothing goes on the guarantor's credit report. We ask for a guarantor because Chapter 7 discharges all debts including unpaid attorney's fees. Thus the Minnesota courts require a cosigner to file Chapter 7 before paying the fees.
